Have always wanted to being her to East Coast for a
walk...so this day, 4 May 2008, we finally managed to get ourselves prepared to
bring her there! Getting up early is no longer problem now as those who are
parents would know that babies at this stage usually are awake by 7am+, so it
has been a long time since I can sleep beyond 8am! But having to prepare
her stuff, bathing her and getting her ready to meet our 'target time' to reach
East Coast at 9am+ is a big challenge...haha! Our plan for this day is to
reach at 9am+, enjoy MacDonald breakfast and then bring her for a walk at the
beach...well, not too bad, we reached there at about 10.30am, still within our 'targetted time' to have our MacDonald breakfast.
To our surprise, or rather can be said we have
forgotten that it's a weekend and perhaps it's such a long time since we go
there on weekends, the MacDonalds and the whole East Coast Park were filled with
people! OMG! Getting a seat in the MacD was like having to throw a pack of
tissue from far to '霸位' (meaning 'chop' seats)...reli
scary man! Toilets are filled with people and not clean...Kids are running
around with the blades, swimsuits, bikes, etc. And the worst of all, that
day was a terrible hot day!
Well, lucky Vincent manage to get a seat quite fast
at the MacCafe...sat down and off he went to buy the breakfast...15mins just
before 11am! As the weather gets hotter, soon after we finish our breakfast, we
decided to head for the beach. But oh man, it's reli reli reli vy hot! My
gal like '烤烧猪', esp she has eczema, so we only walk
for less than 10mins and we quickly took 'refuge' bk to sheltered areas.
Just a pity that the weather was reli too hot, otherwise can bring her to walk
longer...to cool down, went to Coffee Bean for some drinks before we headed
home. Think the to-and-fro journey from our home to East Coast was longer
than the duration we stayed at East Coast! But what to do - weather simply too
hot! So next time, we really must set off early and reached there by 9am!
