Another Sat excursion for my gal - Sentosa!
The weather wasn't that good that day...looked like going to rain when we
stepped out of our house at about 10am+...and then turned sunny when we reached
there. So for a moment, we were relieved coz if it rained, going to be
very troublesome. We decided to park our car at Vivocity and took a train
to Sentosa from the Sentosa train station at Vivo instead of driving in...The
crowd was not very thick but still many pple (tourists, young couples, families,
etc) when we boarded the train. We looked at their day packages and told
ourselves no need to buy those packages coz we are only going there for a short
while...at most have the time to visit one attraction and don't think it will be
that exp. Well, to our miscalculation, the entrance fees per attraction is
real exp man, esp the two of us hv not been thr for ages! We decided to
bring our gal to Underwater World and the tix cost S$19.90 p/adult - OMG! So
just the two of us already cost abt S$40...At first, our gal did enjoy a
bit...but then as she was very tired, she soon dozed off inside as the entire
interior is cool and dark...that went our S$40! haha...walked for abt
15-20mins..tat's abt it...and she's still sleeping...It was about 1pm+ at then,
so we thought it's time for our lunch...headed the exit and to our surprise,
there was a rather long queue at the Underwater World entrance! Luckily we were
there only about 30mins earlier to avoid the crowds...we then headed to the
air-conditioned Delifrance for our lunch (near the beach) and luckily we managed
to get a place. Again, we were there early by another 30mins before we saw
crowds coming in to get their late lunch! Just when we started to have our
lunch, our gal woke up after her beauty sleep for about 40mins...certainly felt
much happier after her beauty nap and we headed to the beach for a while before
going home as the sky started to turn dark again. True enough, as soon as
we board the bus back to the train station to head back to Vivocity, it started
to rain! Phew...though a short and exp trip but quite a nice experience...will
bring her back again when she's much older and able to enjoy the sights and
beach better. :)
